Who We Are
Heart of Compassion Kenya Community-Based Organization (CBO), located in Roysambu, Nairobi County, Kenya, is dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable Children, Youths and Women in Roysambu and beyond. Through holistic interventions—ranging from education support, essential support, and economic opportunities to lifeskills and advocacy—HOCK targets marginalized people, especially needy children, disadvantaged youths, and unstable mothers.
Our approach includes paying school fees, providing school uniforms and school essential, providing essential support by distributing food stuffs, clothing and essential, business skills training, offering startup kits for businesses and having a children rescue center and school .
We work in partnership with communities, institutions, and local government using participatory methods to ensure sustainability and long-term impact, with the ultimate goal of building a resilient, more empowered, and self-reliant communities. This strategic plan will be implemented through participatory approaches with both public and private partners, locally and internationally.
Our History
Heart Of Compassion was established in 2022 as a church-led initiative by members of Word Chapel church, responding to the impact of COVID-19 on vulnerable families. It began by supporting children whose parents could no longer afford school fees, enabling over 15 children to return to school. Currently, more children continue to benefit from our organization.
In 2025, Heart of Compassion was officially registered as a Community-Based Organization (CBO). We are now focused on empowering vulnerable children, youth, and women through education, essential support, and economic opportunities.

Our Goals
• To support vulnerable and needy children by providing school fees, school uniforms, stationery, and books.
• To reach out to vulnerable households with care packages including foodstuffs, clothing, and other essential items.
• To empower households economically by offering business skills training and start-up kits for small businesses.
• To promote community welfare through social protection, inclusivity, and capacity building.
• To establishing a Children Rescue Centre and a school.
• To create awareness on health, education, and child protection.
• To collaborate with relevant government agencies, NGOs, and other partners to advance community development.
